Protecting them today means a greener Portland tomorrow.

At Samsara Tree Care, we believe responsible arboriculture goes beyond simply cutting trees. Our work is guided by a commitment to thoughtful care, professional standards, and long-term stewardship of the landscapes we serve. By helping residential and commercial property owners better understand their trees, we aim to support healthier landscapes and protect urban forests for generations to come.

A message from the owner

As an arborist and business owner, I’m reminded every day that a local business is about so much more than providing a service. It’s about being part of a community, building relationships, creating local jobs, and taking care of the place we all call home.

When you choose a local business, your support stays closer to home. It helps families, employees, and other small businesses continue to grow.

For us, that support has a tangible impact on the environment. Healthy trees provide shade, clean the air, support wildlife, protect soil and water, reduce heat, and contribute to the overall health and well-being of the people who live around them. Every tree we prune, plant, preserve, or remove responsibly is part of a much bigger picture.

So, to everyone who has hired us, recommended us, left a review, or simply encouraged us along the way — thank you. Your support allows us to continue doing work we believe in, supporting our community, and helping care for the living landscape around us.

When a community supports its local businesses, those businesses have an opportunity to give back to the people, the economy, and the land.

Thank you for being a part of that cycle.

Our Story

How It All Began

Samsara Tree Care began with a passion for arboriculture and a commitment to doing tree work the right way. After working as a climbing arborist for other companies, our founder saw how often trees were treated as problems to remove rather than living assets worth protecting.

In 2014, Samsara Tree Care was established to build a company grounded in professional arborist practices, thoughtful evaluation, and long-term care. As the company grew, so did the team—allowing for larger projects while maintaining the same commitment to responsible arboriculture. No matter the scope, our focus remains the same: thoughtful evaluation, skilled execution, and long-term care for the trees entrusted to us.

Several team members hold Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ), and all work is guided by industry standards including ANSI Z133 (safety) and ANSI A300 (tree care best practices). Our team continues to pursue advanced training to stay current with evolving techniques.
